SUMMARY:Community Food Drives - United Way of Greater Nashua
DESCRIPTION:As of early 2026\, food insecurity in New Hampshire is on the rise\, reaching its highest rate since 2015-2017. This crisis affects 1 in 9 adults and 1 in 7 children. The increase is primarily driven by high living costs\, reduced assistance from the pandemic era\, and cuts in federal SNAP benefits.\n\nJoin the United Way of Greater Nashua in helping local families access the food\, hygiene products\, and support resources they need to get by.\n\n**HOW CAN YOU DONATE?** \n\nEvery Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM (April thru December) and 12 PM to 3 PM (January thru March)\, volunteers from all backgrounds come together to collect donations of food and hygiene items from shoppers at local supermarkets. The donations gathered are distributed to local food pantries each week.\n\nFood Drives and locations are subject to change\, but below are the locations:\n\n\n	Hannaford\, Hudson - First Saturday of each month\n	Hannaford\, Nashua - Second Saturday of each month\n	Shaw's Main Street\, Nashua - Third Saturday of each month\n	Walmart\, Amherst - Fourth Saturday of each month\n\n\n**INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?** \n\nDuring the Food Drive\, volunteers distribute flyers to interested shoppers\, listing needed items in the hope that they will purchase additional products to donate. Volunteers will set up at one or two store entrances\, depending on how many people register to help on a particular day. You can choose to only volunteer on one weekend or on many.\n\nRegister to Volunteer today!\n\n(https://www.volunteergreaternashua.org/need/detail/?need_id=571535)\n\nLearn more: http://www.volunteergreaternashua.org\n\n** NEED FOOD ASSISTANCE?**\n\nDonations from the local Food Drives are given to local food pantries each week.
