DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Mary's House\, a newly acquired program and property of the Front Door Agency. Mary's House provides permanent supportive housing for homeless women ages 18 +. Mary's House is a non-treatment\, Section 8 rent-assisted apartment building providing 40 subsidized single-room occupancy for women without children who are in need of safe and supportive living environment.\n\n\n\nFor 36 years\, the Front Door Agency has been serving the Greater Nashua community by preventing homelessness and providing housing for the community's most vulnerable people. With a less than 1% vacancy rate in the area\, affordable housing has become critically scarce.\n\n\n\nThe Agency purchased Mary's House in April 2023 from Southern NH Services. With this purchase\, the Agency has the opportunity to ensure that Mary's House remains affordable housing for our community\, and enables the Agency to expand its reach and extend its mission to many more individuals. The Agency continues to partner with Nashua Housing Authority to provide housing vouchers to this vulnerable population.
