This individual plans, executes, and coordinates projects of all sizes across the business, communicating project status cross-functionally as well as to the Leadership Team. You will be an advocate for PRIME/stage-gate process adherence, assisting in training and communication of project leadership principles. Additionally, as a Process Steward, you will aid in Portfolio Management including trial scheduling, review deck preparation, and maintaining review cadence.

Project Lead and Process Steward is responsible for:

  • Leads cross-functional teams comprised of chemistry, materials, and engineering associates from R&D and Operations departments to complete projects on time and within budget; partners with R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders and uses a phase gated development framework to ensure quality and profitable product delivery.
  • Utilizes business acumen skills to understand the true business needs and define project scope; develops and implements work plans for the cross-functional teams to ensure that project objectives are met within the time allowed by the overall schedule. Accommodates modifications that may become necessary due to changing conditions. Maintains measurements and reviews the assigned work to ensure that project objectives are met
  • Assists in Portfolio Management process to maintain adherence to Portfolio Management principles across the business unit. To include trial scheduling, PRIME training, and maintenance of review cadence for projects within portfolio.
  • Aids in holding trial owners and project leaders accountable to the deliverables for trials/projects. Tracks trial/project status and reports into Sr. Manager, PMO to maintain clear view of Portfolio Health.


  • BS Degree in science or engineering, Master’s preferred
  • PMP or equivalent certification a plus
  • Six sigma green or black belt a plus
  • Phase Gated Development Process Knowledge
  • Experience with creating and present formal presentations, and familiarity with project scheduling and budgeting
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • 2+ years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years in a leadership, program, or project management role with demonstrated team building skills
  • Strong Leadership and Team building Skills
  • Driver’s License to travel between Company locations and into the field as well as to other locations and/or technical seminars, using own car.
