Technician Job- Ink Mixing

CRANE Currency in Nashua, NH is seeking applicants to fill an Ink Mixing Technician job on Third Shift (10pm - 6am). Formulation Technician is responsible for:

  • Preparing fluids using precise measurements & documented procedures
  • Visual color matching 
  • Following standards such as OSHA, EPA, and 5S
  • Analyze schedules to determine demand and shelf life
  • Labeling and data entry using JDEdwards and MES system
  • Inventory & material handling processes
  • Measure viscosity & gravimetric solids, color, as well as refractive index of fluids
  • Cross training, team effort, and ability to work overtime will be necessary


  • Mathematical skills including management of scaling batch sizes
  • HS Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Capable of executing shop floor transactions through our computer systems
  • Computer skills necessary to control the associated monitoring functions
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan work load, and manage time 
  • Experience maintaining inventory utilizing tools such as kanban or min-max
  • Must be highly focused on the smallest elements of each task, attentive to details for high level of precision
  • Ability to do testing such as color, viscosity, solids and refractive index
  • Strong communication skills, requiring teamwork with the larger manufacturing team
  • Ability & willingness to lift/move barrels and buckets (up to 50lbs) regularly for an 8-hr.+ shift
    • Appropriate lifting equipment and training will be provided
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements
