About Us

Catholic Medical Center is a 330-bed acute care hospital with a Level III Trauma Center in Manchester, NH, serving the Greater Manchester area, southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Its New England Heart & Vascular Institute is a nationally recognized, award-winning destination for cardiac care and its birthing center, The Mom’s Place, was the first in the country to implement a model of couplet care. Catholic Medical Center is one of the area’s largest employers, and in 2025 was acquired by HCA Healthcare, which operates four hospitals, three freestanding emergency rooms, an ambulatory surgery center, urgent care center, and 46 physician practices in New Hampshire, where it employs 2,600 colleagues and 554 physicians, provides $15.8 million in uncompensated care, and pays $43.8 million in taxes annually. HCA Healthcare’s New Hampshire hospitals also include Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Parkland Medical Center in Derry, Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester and freestanding emergency rooms in Seabrook, Dover and Plaistow.

Catholic Medical Center will expand access to high-acuity emergency care in southern New Hampshire with the opening of Nashua ER, a freestanding 24/7 emergency room located at 338 Amherst Street in Nashua, scheduled to open in summer 2026.
